An Ape Ate An Opiate Jan 06, 2011

My first contact with this shirt came several years ago and sadly I no longer own it, as it went through hundreds of washes that finally caused terminal fading. Zoom in on the back, and you'll see what looks suggestively like a figure-ground shot of an ape taken from an elevated vantage point, lips compressed, eyes tightly shut, and brain matter exposed; embedded directly between that red goo is a gigantic pill. There's something profoundly cynical about this graphic, suggestive of a person who has chosen to shut off his (or her) awareness through something that clearly has overwhelmed their brain with the experience of constant pleasure-seeking behavior, represented by the pill through its very presence at the center of their mind, possibly stripping them of their higher mental faculties. A nice, heavily constructed tee that's very breathable (although mine's sized out at 2X, with only a small currently in stock here), and with Old Glory printing it, you can be sure of a quick delivery.
